Mohamed Hanafi
Mohamed Hanafi is a Senior Advisor at ASG, where he advises clients on navigating business opportunities and challenges in Egypt and brings expertise in the country’s policy and regulatory frameworks.
Mr. Hanafi is the Managing Director of LYNX Strategic Business Advisors, Egypt’s leading government relations and public policy consulting firm. Previously, Mr. Hanafi served 15 years in the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from which he brings diverse experience across diplomacy, communications, and policy analysis. At the foreign ministry, he served as the Director for the Egypt Vision 2030 Coordination Unit, Chief of Staff at the Bureau for International and Regional Multilateral Economic Affairs, and Private Secretary and Media Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Prior to his service in government, he was the Political/Projects Officer at the British Embassy in Cairo.
Mr. Hanafi received a B.A. in International Relations and Media Communications from Webster University (Leiden campus). He also holds an LL.M. in Public International Law from Leiden University, the Netherlands. He speaks Arabic and English.
He is based in Cairo, Egypt.
