Danielle Yeow

Danielle Yeow is a Senior Advisor for ASG’s East Asia & Pacific practice, where she brings a depth of international legal knowledge in climate change, trade and investment, cyber, human rights, and sanctions and compliance matters.

Ms. Yeow specializes in climate change law and policy issues at the Centre for International Law (CIL), National University of Singapore, and is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Master of Science in Environmental Management Programme at the Faculty of Law. Ms. Yeow hosts CIL's “In Conversation” series that explores a range of issues at the center of the climate debate and trends that impact the direction of the global efforts to combat climate change. Ms. Yeow also serves as an Adjunct Senior Fellow with the Centre of Excellence for National Security at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University. Ms. Yeow is a Council Member of the Singapore branch of the International Law Association, a member of the Singapore Domain Name Dispute Policy Panel, Singapore Mediation Centre as well as a member of the panel of arbitrators appointed under the UK-Singapore Free Trade Agreement.  She was formerly an alternate member of the Implementation and Compliance Committee established under the Paris Agreement. 

Previously, Ms. Yeow served as the Deputy Director-General of the International Affairs Division of the Singapore Attorney-General’s Chambers. In this role, she was lead counsel in multiple negotiations at bilateral, regional, and global levels, including the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), Paris Agreement climate change talks, and in panel proceedings at the World Trade Organization (as third party).

Previously, Ms. Yeow served as the Deputy Chief Executive of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore, where she provided oversight of the legal framework, operational processes, and international intellectual property policy and engagement.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Yeow served as a District Judge, a Law Clerk at the Supreme Court of Singapore, and a public prosecutor. She was formerly a member of the Genetic Modification Advisory Committee in Singapore and the Intellectual Property Hub Master Plan Steering Committee in Singapore.

Ms. Yeow received an LLM with first class honors from the University of Cambridge and an LLB with honors from the University of Bristol. 

She is based in New York and Singapore.
