Bertha Angulo
Bertha Angulo is a Senior Advisor with ASG’s Americas practice. She draws on more than two decades of public, private and non-profit sector experience to provide strategic support to clients of the firm that seek to enter and successfully operate across the region.
A veteran communications strategist, Ms. Angulo has advised business, government and civil society leaders on government relations and public affairs strategies.
Her past private sector roles have included working at Zimat Consultores, where developed and led crisis management and media relations efforts for corporate clients, and at Shell Mexico as Director of Communications and Public Affairs. In the public sector, Ms. Angulo worked for the Mexican foreign affairs and internal affairs ministries.
Ms. Angulo serves on the board of Mexico Unido Contra la Delincuencia, a leading NGO that advocates for public security in Mexico, and the Mexican chapter of the International Board of Books for Young People. She is also an Associate with the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations (COMEXI), and founder of both Voz Experta and Mujeres en Asuntos Globales, which are initiatives advocating for more female representation in traditionally male-dominated sectors.
Ms. Angulo earned an M.A. in Diplomatic Studies from the Mexican Foreign Service Academy and an M.P.A. from Harvard Kennedy School. She received a B.A. in International Relations from the University of the Americas.
She is fluent in Spanish and English.
