William Kabagambe
William Kabagambe is an Advisor with ASG’s Africa practice, where he advises clients on business and investment strategies in East Africa and across the continent.
Mr. Kabagambe previously served as a Director in ASG’s Africa practice, leveraging deep knowledge of the region and an extensive network to support clients. Prior to joining ASG, he was a Project Management Associate at Chemonics International, where he managed international development projects. Earlier, Mr. Kabagambe worked at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, researching trade, energy, infrastructure, and technology. He also has experience at the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Chengdu, China, as well as at the Initiative for Global Development (IGD) and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Kabagambe received an M.A. in International Trade and Investment Policy from George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs and a B.A. in International Studies and Economics from American University. He grew up in Côte d'Ivoire, South Africa, and Tunisia and speaks French, Swahili, and other African languages.
Mr. Kabagambe is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
