George Zhao, based in Beijing, is a Vice President at ASG, where he supports the China team in creating business strategies and implementing stakeholder outreach plans. He serves ASG clients operating in China’s energy and healthcare sectors by helping to identify key partners to promote their in-country public awareness campaigns and to improve their China market entry strategies.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Zhao worked for over six years in the Chinese media industry, including at CCTV and two internet companies. He has also served as a Senior Researcher at the Chung Kong Graduate School of Business and as a Project Manager for the U.S.-China Education Trust.
Mr. Zhao earned his M.S. in Media Management from the University of Stirling (U.K.) and a B.A. in Media Management from the Beijing Broadcasting Institute, now known as China Communication University. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
