Gérard Araud, Luca Bader, and João Sanches join as Senior Advisors
May 28, 2020 (Washington, D.C.) – Albright Stonebridge Group (ASG), the premier global strategy and commercial diplomacy firm, has further expanded its advisory network in Europe and Latin America with the additions of Gérard Araud, Luca Bader, and João Sanches as Senior Advisors.
Former Ambassador Araud joins the firm after serving as France’s Ambassador to the United States and Permanent Representative to the United Nations. Mr. Bader served as Chief of Staff and Senior Political Advisor for the Prime Minister of Italy, and Mr. Sanches rejoins ASG after serving for three years as Government Affairs & Corporate Communications Head at Novartis Brazil.
“We are delighted,” said James O’Brien, ASG Vice Chair and Europe practice lead. “Gérard was a great ambassador to the U.S. and the UN. Luca has been at the center of Italy’s transitions and its role in Europe. Anyone who needs to understand the UN, Paris, Rome, and the way that Europe is operating now will benefit from their knowledge.”
“As ASG continues its strategic growth in Latin America, we are pleased to welcome João back onto the team,” said Anthony Harrington, Chair of ASG’s Managing Board, Americas practice lead, and the former U.S. Ambassador to Brazil. “His unique experience and insights in the healthcare industry will be extraordinarily helpful to our clients as COVID-19 upends the global healthcare landscape.”
Ambassador Araud served as France’s Ambassador to the United States from 2014 to 2019. Previously, he served as France’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and as Director General for Political and Security Affairs in the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
