June 17, 2024 – DGA Group, a leader in global strategy and commercial diplomacy, announces that Takeo Mori and Waheed Omer have joined as Senior Advisors, to Albright Stonebridge Group.

Takeo Mori joins the firm following a distinguished 40-year career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA). Mr. Mori held numerous posts within the Foreign Ministry, culminating with the position of Vice Minister—the most senior career diplomatic post. As Vice Minister and during his tenure as Director General for North America, he represented Japan in numerous important bilateral and multilateral fora and trade negotiations. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mori was posted at numerous Japanese Embassies around the world, including in Germany, Singapore, and the United States. As Economic Minister at the Japanese Embassy in Washington D.C., he frequently helped U.S. companies address market access and business concerns. Mr. Mori is based in Tokyo.

Ambassador Waheed Omer brings decades of experience in diplomacy, public policy, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement. He has served in numerous government positions, including in the Afghan government cabinet as Senior Advisor to the President of Afghanistan and Executive Director of the Office of Strategic Communications. Mr. Omer oversaw the government’s strategic communications, public diplomacy, and strategic partnership initiatives.  He was previously Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Italy and permanent representative to the United Nations in Rome. Prior to joining DGA Group, Mr. Omer worked as a corporate affairs executive for a major health sector multinational. Earlier in his career, Mr. Omer was Managing Partner of a communications and public relations firm in Kabul.  He is based in New York and Washington, D.C.
