Dentons Global Advisors-ASG Welcomes Ambassador Carlos dos Santos and Danielle Yeow as Senior Advisors

Firm expands capabilities for clients in Africa and East Asia and the Pacific
 

August 17, 2023 (Washington, D.C.) – Dentons Global Advisors-Albright Stonebridge Group (ASG), leaders in global strategic advisory, announce today that Ambassador Carlos dos Santos has joined as Senior Advisor in the firm’s Africa practice, and Danielle Yeow has joined as Senior Advisor in the East Asia & Pacific practice.

Ambassador Carlos dos Santos comes to the firm following more than 40 years of distinguished diplomatic experience across Africa, Europe, the Americas, and the United Nations. From 2015 to 2022, he served as the Ambassador of Mozambique to the United States and High Commissioner for Canada. Prior to this role, he served as High Commissioner for the United Kingdom and Ambassador to Ireland, and as Ambassador of Mozambique to Germany, Austria, and the Holy See. From 1996 to 2002, Ambassador dos Santos served as Mozambique’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. He has also served at senior levels within the government of Mozambique, including as Director for Europe and the Americas at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and as Senior Advisor to the President.

Danielle Yeow brings decades of experience in the legal profession and government service in Singapore, and extensive expertise in global climate policy, trade and investment, and sanctions and compliance matters. Ms. Yeow specializes in climate change law and policy issues at the National University of Singapore’s Centre for International Law (CIL), and is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Master of Science in Environmental Management Programme at the Faculty of Law. She also serves as an Adjunct Senior Fellow with the Centre of Excellence for National Security at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University. She was formerly an alternate member of the Implementation and Compliance Committee established under the Paris Agreement. Previously, Ms. Yeow served as the Deputy Director-General of the International Affairs Division of the Singapore Attorney-General’s Chambers, where she was lead counsel in multiple negotiations at bilateral, regional, and global levels. Earlier in her career, Ms. Yeow served as a District Judge, a Law Clerk at the Supreme Court of Singapore, and a public prosecutor.
