Former Brazilian Ambassador and ASG Senior Director, Rubens Barbosa, highlighted the importance of changes within Brazil to effectively attract much needed foreign investment in the country, singling out the high cost of doing business in Brazil (“custo Brazil"). Ambassador Barbosa also observed that the relationship between both countries declined in the past decade, with Lula and Dilma focusing more on South-South engagements.
