Senior Advisor Alexander Gabuev spoke with The Wall Street Journal about the state of diplomatic relations between Russia and China as China advocates for peace talks in Ukraine. 

“In reality, China is skeptical about its ability to be helpful on the negotiation front...they understand that Putin is obsessed with this war. Putin believes still that he can win this war militarily, and unless there is bigger clarity on the battlefield, there is not that much to talk about.”
