As its role in the energy transition grows in importance, it is critical that the mining industry reforms as a responsible and sustainable actor in the climate fight. This panel featuring Vice President Melissa Kopolow, hosted by the International Chamber of Commerce at COP27, discussed the capacity of the mining industry in transforming energy supply and consumption, barriers to achieving the necessary supply of critical mineral mining and processing, and mechanisms to enable environmental and socially responsible practices.
