Firm expands senior leadership, expertise in diplomacy and economic development
February 2, 2023 (Washington, D.C.) – Dentons Global Advisors-Albright Stonebridge Group (ASG), a leader in global strategic advisory, announces that Ambassador Philip T. Reeker has joined as Lead of the Europe & Eurasia practice, and Michael Castle-Miller has joined as Lead of the firm’s work on governance, regulatory reform, and special economic zones.
Ambassador (ret.) Philip T. Reeker has more than 30 years of diplomatic experience in Europe and Eurasia. Prior to joining the firm, Ambassador Reeker served as the U.S. Department of State’s Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations. He was the Acting Assistant Secretary of State and head of the Department’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs from 2019 to 2021 and was Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in London from 2021 to 2022. Earlier in his extensive diplomatic career, he was Ambassador to North Macedonia and U.S. Consul General in Milan. He served as Advisor to the Commander of U.S. European Command in Germany, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Central Europe and the Balkans, and Deputy Spokesman of the State Department. In recognition of his exemplary service, he received the State Department’s Distinguished Honor Award and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joint Distinguished Civilian Service Award. The Italian Republic also named him a Commander of the Order of Merit, among other honors.
Michael Castle-Miller is a governance expert with broad experience advising clients on special economic zones (SEZs), semi-autonomous jurisdictions, and policy experiments in over 35 countries. Previously, Mr. Castle-Miller founded and led Politas Consulting, which helped design institutional frameworks enabling SEZs and cities to achieve inclusive economic growth. He is also a creator of Refugee Cities/SDZ Alliance, which helps develop zones that expand the freedoms of forced migrants, and the Lunar Development Cooperative, an enabling framework for the use of space.
