Fei Gao is an Associate at ASG, where she assists with research and analysis for the firm’s China practice. She also supports new business development efforts. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gao interned at the Congressional-Executive Commission for China, researching issues concerning China’s human rights, rule of law, and governance. Previously, she interned at the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, where she supported research and translation, edited audio podcasts, and compiled briefing books for U.S. Congressional staff exchange programs.
Ms. Gao has had extensive experience abroad, teaching English in a Tibetan village in Qinghai, studying Chinese culture and politics at Peking University, and conducting independent research for her senior honors thesis across China.
Ms. Gao earned her B.A. with distinction in International Comparative Studies from Duke University. She also majored in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, with a focus in Chinese, and minored in Cultural Anthropology. Ms. Gao is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
