Christopher Roberts is a Director at ASG, based in San Francisco. He advises clients on international growth strategies, global policy issues, social impact initiatives, and partnership management. Mr. Roberts has worked with an array of startups in the sharing economy, urban innovation, and clean technology sectors, as well as with global social media and internet technology companies.
Prior to joining Albright Stonebridge Group in 2013, Mr. Roberts supported fundraising and philanthropy initiatives for the National Democratic Institute (NDI), where he worked closely with foundations, corporations, and private individuals to support NDI’s global democracy initiatives. In addition, he assisted with special programs for the Institute, and helped organize the 2012 International Leaders Forum at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Previously, Mr. Roberts served on the finance and economics team for U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein and was an intern at the Oakland, California office of U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Lee.
Mr. Roberts served as an advisor to the Berkeley-Haas Center for Responsible Business to help launch its Business and Human Rights Initiative, and has advised companies on the human rights impact of innovative technologies. He has written on issues including Chinese investment in Africa, global data localization, and privacy reform in Europe.
Mr. Roberts holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley-Haas School of Business, and a BA in Political Science and Philosophy from Dickinson College.
