The Challenge

A major natural resources company sought to partner with a state-owned entity in Vietnam through a joint venture. The company requested ASG’s support in assessing and supporting the negotiation and implementation of the partnership.

We conducted high-level government advocacy on behalf of our client and provided strategic and tactical advice during commercial negotiations, as well as direct support to company executives during discussions with government officials. Our team also helped our client identify additional business opportunities and develop proposals for public-private partnerships.

Due to ASG’s high-level advocacy and outreach efforts, our client raised its profile, developed strong relationships with key Vietnamese officials in Vietnam and Washington, D.C., and was able to successfully move forward with its investment partnership.
